Located on the 6th and 7th floors of the Pata Pinklao Department Store in Bangkok, Pata Zoo has operated since 1983 as one of Thailand’s most unusual zoological attractions. Following renovations completed in 2023, the private zoo reopened with a redesigned space and a new educational zone featuring exotic animals.

Operating since 1983, the zoo has faced criticism from Thai animal rights activists for alleged inhumane treatment of its animals. Despite the recent renovation, concerns about confinement conditions and animal welfare continue to surround the facility.
