SEPAK TAKRAW AT BENCHASIRI PARK
On June 25, 2023, local residents gathered at Benchasiri Public Park in Bangkok to play Sepak Takraw, one of Southeast Asia’s most popular traditional sports.
Often described as acrobatic volleyball, the game is played with a rattan or synthetic ball, and players are allowed to strike it only with their feet, body, or head. Regular matches in public parks reflect the sport’s enduring presence in everyday life across Thailand.
