In March 2023, after renovation, the new Pata Zoo was launched, adding a learning zone for special exotic pets, with hopes of becoming an important tourist attraction for people in the city. Pata Zoo is a private zoo located on the 6th and 7th floors of the Pata Pinklao Department Store in Bangkok. Operating since 1983, the zoo has faced criticism from Thai animal rights activists for alleged inhumane treatment of its animals.
