ADVOCATES PRESS THAILAND FOR IMPROVE ACCESS TO ABORTION SERVICES

Despite the legalization of abortion in Thailand three years ago, access to free and safe abortion services remains a challenge for women in the country. The volunteer-based group Tamtang, which long time campaigned for women's right to safe abortion has submitted to Dr. Thosaporn Serirak, Chairman of the Public Health Commission, a letter calling on the Ministry of Public Health to provide universal pregnancy termination services nationwide, at least one per province.
