PORTRAITS OF RESCUED AND REHABILITATED ANIMALS
This documentary series was photographed at Elephant Nature Park, founded by Lek Chailert, as part of her lifelong commitment to animal rescue, rehabilitation, and protection.
Through intimate portraits, the work focuses on rescued elephants and animals who have survived abuse, exploitation, and captivity linked to logging, tourism, circuses, and street begging.
Shot with a respectful documentary approach, the images aim to restore dignity, presence, and individuality to animals often reduced to symbols, revealing their resilience and quiet strength within a protected natural environment.
