THAI PRO-DEMOCRACY PROTESTERS RALLY IN BANGKOK

On July 24, 2023, political activist Sombat Boonngamanong, also known as “Bor Kor Lai Jud,” led a demonstration in Bangkok opposing the Senate’s refusal to support Move Forward Party leader Pita Limjaroenrat’s bid to become prime minister.

Protesters gathered to express concerns over democratic representation and the role of the Senate in the prime ministerial selection process.
