THE ANIMAL HELL ON EARTH IN BANGKOK

Located on the top floors of a shopping mall in Bangkok, Pata Zoo has long been the subject of criticism from animal welfare organizations and members of the public.

​

Animals are kept in confined, aging enclosures with limited space and stimulation. Images from the zoo have sparked ongoing debate about animal welfare standards in Thailand and the ethics of maintaining such facilities in urban commercial environments.
