RALLY AGAINST SENATE VOTE
On May 23, 2023, the United Front of Thammasat and Demonstration (UFTD) organized a rally in Bangkok under the slogan “Senators must not vote against the people's resolution.”
Protesters gathered to pressure the 250 members of the Thai Senate not to oppose the formation of a government led by the Move Forward Party following the general election. The demonstration reflected growing tensions over the role of the Senate in the prime ministerial selection process.
