SAFE ABORTION IN THAILAND

On September 30, 2023, activists gathered in Bangkok for the “Abortion in the Light” event organized by the Tamtang Group, which advocates for access to safe and legal abortion services in Thailand.

​

Although abortion has been legal in Thailand since February 2021, advocates argue that practical access remains limited. Many public medical facilities do not provide free abortion services despite legal provisions recognizing pregnancy termination as part of reproductive healthcare rights.
