At Wat Pariwat Ratchasongkram in Bangkok, traditional Buddhist architecture blends with contemporary cultural references. Often nicknamed the “David Beckham Temple,” the site features a sculpture of the English footballer David Beckham alongside colorful murals depicting superheroes and cartoon characters.

This unconventional artistic approach reflects an effort to engage younger generations and present Buddhism within a contemporary visual language. Despite its modern elements, the temple remains an active place of worship and a distinctive cultural landmark in the Thai capital.
